Abatin Wellness Center – Sacramento, CA
I’ve been a longtime patient of Abatin Wellness and the people have consistently made this dispensary stand out from others in the area. The staff and management are stellar; they’re friendly, display outstanding customer service and remain well-versed in cannabis research by holding regular meetings to update and discuss the latest scientific developments. There’s no half-baked answers or advice, and if they don’t have the answer, they find someone who does. As General Manager Scott Robinson insists, “If someone wants to spend an hour and a half talking to our consultants about their needs, we are ready and willing to do that.” When it came time to expand their dispensary to the adult-use platform, they added staff to accommodate their growing customer base.
Since adult-use passed, inventory has been moving quicker, but Abatin was prepared by maintaining relationships with providers and vendors with proven longevity and the ability to adhere to new compliance regulations. Additionally, they’ve adopted an aptly namedin-house cannabis supplier, THC.Foot traffic has increased, and with the same overall space to work with, Abatin has changed their floor configuration to be more open, as well as added more registers. An online pre-order service helps subscribers who know what they want cut down on in-store wait time, a helpful feature many patients, who typically have consistent orders, can take advantage of.
Abatin has been a leader in the Sacramento area when it comes to information access and disclosure. They consistently approach customer service from a counseling angle, listening to feedback while providing informed direction, and host a library of resources on site. Maintaining an interest in extending counseling services to the community, Abatin is exploring educational meetings and peer counseling ideas, with subject matters such as coping with the cannabis stigma, microdosing, the benefits of CBD and “Canna-Parenting.”
