American Green – Phoenix, AZ
American Green has been on the innovative forefront of the cannabis industry since 2009 and is making efforts to develop sustainability in the ever-expanding cannabis world. Spearheaded by industry leaders such as manager Brian Croteau, as well as cultivation consultant and cannabis advocate Chris Martin, American Green has partnered with Hempful Farms and Zonka to produce a state-of-the-art cultivation facility in the heart of Phoenix in order to bring some of the finest cannabis and hemp products to Arizona.
The 12,000-square-foot boutique cultivation has room to expand and is built inside an industrial warehouse near downtown, featuring 10 rooms for various stages of hydroponic cultivation. Their grow rooms support 135 plants per room, producing over 35 pounds of flower per week. After receiving cuts from their mother room, the plants are moved to mature in the veg rooms, which are uniquely fabricated using mold-resistant foam, an STG ceramic lighting system and a reverse osmosis water system. This process blends an organic mix of natural salts and minerals to feed their flower and Grodan Grow-Cubes, which use spun rock as a base for their hydroponic system. Each of these features make it simple and easy to develop a controlled environment. In addition, the space hosts a testing room, allowing the experienced team to develop phenotypes and lighting strategies, as well as a full kitchen and laboratory.
American Green believes in craft cannabis and strives to offer an array of quality products both classic and unique, including traditional strains like Blue Dream, Strawberry Cough, GDP and exclusive original cuts of Jack Herer, as well as some exotic strains like Zonka Kush, Do-Si-Dos and Sunset Sherbet. The lab is currently running research and development and intends on providing an assortment of concentrates showcasing the best of what their grow has to offer. The cultivation will also power the revived Zonka Bar product line, featuring tried-and-true edibles like chocolate bars, brownies, suckers and more.
