Binske has always provided a ‘white glove’ experience for their customers; their products are crafted meticulously and the company’s attention to detail is evident. The Binske team is made up of passionate, diverse individuals from all over the country — one of Binske’s recipes for success is seeking out employees who bring out the best in other people. The grow team is made up of only nine team members: four growers, two trimmers, one superintendent, one cultivation manager and one facility director.
Located south of Steamboat Springs in an old mining town called Oak Creek, the Binske garden facility boasts 14,000 square feet and includes one vegetation room, three flowering rooms and a main level for post-processing. Depending on size and strain, each flower room can host up to 500-600 plants per harvest. The growers hand-water each plant, which allows them to give each plant daily individual care while also being able to note any new changes or characteristics in the strain. These inspections are a crucial element to their growing process.
At Binske, the product quality tends to speak for itself; creating the best possible products starts with producing the best possible flower. Their growers use an organic-dominant regiment to provide the cleanest and most flavorful experience, including a medium made up of a coco and peat sphagnum moss blend. Though the majority of Binske’s flower is processed for concentrates and edibles, their plants are still dry-trimmed by hand to ensure only the best possible material makes its way into the extraction process. The Binske lab is located just a couple of blocks from the grow, and the close proximity allows them to transfer frozen material without the risk of thawing. Plants chosen to be fresh-frozen are placed in their -30 Celsius freezer within an hour after being harvested. That’s about as fresh as it gets!
