Fire Cannabis Co. – Omak, WA
Co-founders Shanna Kaiser and Randy Lentes opened Washingon’s Fire Cannabis Co. in June 2017. Kaiser deals with the green while Lentes deals with “the green,” and they both leave taxes — the true green — to Gene Olsen, the team’s finance advisor. They opened up shop after Kaiser visited her mother in Omak. “I saw what was in the area, and I saw the potential for a licensed store with the charm and selection I found in the larger cities around us,” she describes. So, Kaiser set into action, totally gutting the building they now work out of to bring her new design to life. Since this was her first shop, Kaiser was concerned about stocking her small-town store, but she surprised herself and built relationships with local, loyal vendors to supply Fire Cannabis Co. She takes pride in the fact that her store is known for its wide range of options, especially in their selection of edibles.
Fire Cannabis Co. sets the mood the minute you step inside — greeted with a twisted glass chandelier in the entryway, the store’s clean lines draw you toward the product selection. Along the walls are a collection of beautiful glass pieces and products arranged by method of consumption sit brightly on the shelves. Kaiser’s design considerations paid off, and the store displays a vibrant, artsy aura while maintaining organization for customer convenience and enjoyment.
Being a small-town business in a real-life small town, Fire Cannabis Co. has a culture that speaks to the close ties that typify life outside the city. Everyone they employ or do business with is heavily vetted to ensure their low turnover rates stay low, and that their employees are knowledgeable, engaging and happy to be a part of the community. If you’re looking for an excuse to go out to Omak, treat yourself to a weekend at the Okanogan Family Faire (May 17-19), or maybe the Omak Stampede (August 8-11) and have a taste of Fire Cannabis Co.’s extensive edibles selection while stepping away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
