Frosted Leaf – Denver, CO
Kiri Humphrey wanted to create an entirely new cannabis retail experience when he purchased Frosted Leaf in January 2014. If you’re like me, you at least recognize the name and have mostly likely driven by one of their three locations in the Denver area. Next time you get the chance, I urge you to check out this unique, tech-savvy dispensary. We decided to feature their Cherry Creek location, where I was welcomed personally by the owner.
What I immediately noticed about this store was how bright and open it is, in contrast to the many cramped, low-lit dispensaries I still come across. The store’s modern boutique atmosphere incorporates aspen tree wallpaper accents and tons of natural lighting. Frosted Leaf’s equally modern and customer-friendly ordering system includes multiple computer stations with fully updated inventory, allowing customers to walk in and browse without waiting in line. Said inventory includes high-quality photos and descriptions of each available product from the flower, concentrate and edible menus, as well as a table with all available strains for customers to peruse before purchasing. Frosted Leaf also accepts orders online and through their app, allowing customers to have their goodies ready and waiting for pickup ahead of time.
Frosted Leaf sources exceptionally beautiful flower. Due to competition with neighboring dispensaries, it’s important for them to carry the highest quality brands in order to keep their customers coming back for more, according to Humphrey. At first glance, I could tell they offer incredible herb; a few strains that caught my attention were Bordello, Scooby Snax and Birthday Cake. The latter smelled so sweet and creamy I couldn’t leave without a few nugs for myself! Their concentrate and edible options are likewise top-notch, and thanks to the electronic ordering system, it couldn’t be easier to peruse and choose at Frosted Leaf.
