Green Dragon is proud to announce their new location just north of Denver in the city of Thornton, located off two major highways (I-25 and E-470) and conveniently close to Denver International Airport. Thornton locals have been keeping the new location quite busy, which I was happy to hear after finding the store in such a family-friendly, residential area. They see anywhere from 20-60 customers per hour, and that’s only after opening their doors this past summer. Not only is the store easy to find, it also has plenty of parking and space on the inside. The layout of the store makes it easy to get in and out with zero waiting time, and they feature all their strains in bud pods in the middle of the shop, allowing customers to examine the product before purchasing.
Green Dragon has 12 stores across the state, from the suburbs of Denver to the mountains of Telluride. The quality of their in-house flower, as well as their friendly budtenders and competitive prices, makes them a well-known Colorado cannabis company. Plus, their commitment to both classic and trending genetics keeps customers of all ages coming back for more. The whole staff welcomed us with such warmth and accommodation — which was exactly what my hungover self needed on an early Sunday morning.
The selection at Green Dragon is fantastic! After taking the time to explore their strains, the ones that stood out to me the most were Mandarin Jack, Tickle Kush and Lemon Drop, which is a super aromatic cross between Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze. Chemdawg is one of their most popular strains, especially with some of the older customers. Their concentrates on display included Deadhead OG live budder and Grape Stomper shatter from Concentrated Remedies CRx, as well as some Bruce Banner from Craft’s Sesh product line. I also noticed a few of my favorite brands on the edible shelves, such as Coda CBD bath bombs, Canyon Cultivation lollipops, Wana gummies and Keef Cola’s Sparkling Blood Orange water.
