Herbs House – Seattle, WA
Herbs House, located in the east side of Ballard in Seattle, Washington, has been working hard since 2013 to create an inviting space for cannabis users looking for high-quality products to suit their specific needs. The shop, originally opened as a medical dispensary by CEO Sharon Jacobson, made the switch to recreational in 2015. Jacobson’s goal was to provide a “down-to-earth neighborhood shop with friendly budtenders,” and this ethos can be felt even before walking in the door. The shop’s exterior made me feel like I was visiting a friend’s place rather than a store, and the feeling continued upon entering Herbs House.
One of Jacobson’s focus points at Herbs was an inviting space with a friendly staff, so she wanted budtenders who were going to be “open, honest with their opinions and looking to effectively meet the customers’ desires.” In the short time I spoke with their budtenders, I felt confident in their knowledge and didn’t get the impression I was talking to salespeople, but to passionate individuals who simply wanted to help. Jacobson appreciates the unique personal preferences of her budtenders, which provide customers with a diverse array of opinions to help make selections from their well-stocked menu.
Jacobson also strives to keep Herbs’ inventory consistently stocked with top-notch cannabis for the diverse customers that come through her door. For Jacobson, “High-quality claims are all over the place, but in the end, its what’s in the package that counts.” In order to find products to match her criteria, Jacobson heavily relies on word-of-mouth leads from her budtenders and customers; with an ear to the ground, she provides her clientele with their particular brand, style and flavor of cannabis. Herbs House’s emphasis on customer satisfaction and quality will help retain their reputation as one of the best cannabis stops in Seattle.
