Jeffrey’s Joint – Portland, OR
For our 420 issue we thought we’d check out a new dispensary in Portland’s hip Boise Neighborhood, Jeffrey’s Flower & Oil. The lobby is fresh and functional, with local pop art hanging on the walls. We learned that an adjacent room is slated to become a yoga studio, as well as a neighborhood meeting place. I dug their collection of antique soldering torches; it was fun to imagine using one during my next dab sesh!
Before I made it to the front desk I was greeted by Luna the dog, the official store mascot of Jeffrey’s. She help set the mood for the rest of the visit. Inside you’ll find a tastefully designed showroom and tons of swag and utensils available to help you look the part while enjoying all that Jeffrey’s has to offer. I was impressed with their selection of snacks to help squash the munchies—they offer the most non-medicated sundries I’ve ever seen in a dispensary! I think it fills a unique need in the cannabis community. Why make a second stop for food when you can get everything you need in one shot?
I had the chance to chat with new employee Wes, who took the time to show me around a bit. Jeffrey’s puts out a diverse selection of flower to serve their wide customer base, and they’re currently working on securing a house farm. Nusheen Bakhtiar, Director of Operations for Jeffrey’s, told me the store has become a battleground of growers fighting to get on their shelves, a testament to their dedication to quality cannabis. Wes noted that they currently carry 45 different strains, starting at $5 a gram. “We can pretty much supply any need that a customer could [have],” he asserts. “From flower to concentrates, topicals to snacks, we got them covered!”
