L’Eagle Dispensary & Garden – Denver, CO
While it’s easy to get your hands on fantastic flower almost anywhere in Denver, Colorado, finding clean, all-natural cannabis can be a bit more challenging. Fortunately for us, there’s L’Eagle Services, Denver’s first Clean Green Certified garden and dispensary. I was introduced to their business last year and immediately fell in love with their flower, especially the Strawberry Cough, which is now one of my favorite sativa-dominant hybrids. Everything in the L’Eagle Garden is recycled and reused, creating an eco-friendly, waste-free environment.
L’Eagle Services’ environmentally-minded practices have not gone unnoticed. At the end of 2017, L’Eagle was awarded “Best Overall Dispensary” in Colorado by Leafly, and recently received the National Cannabis Industry Association’s “Excellence in Innovation Award” for Cultivation. We were so glad that the owners, John and Amy Andrle, were able to join us for our tour of the garden. I was completely blown away by Amy, who effortlessly gains your attention when she walks into a room. As we shook hands I noticed her keys hanging from a well-worn Phish lanyard and instantly knew we were going to get along swimmingly. John and Amy both pride themselves on producing clean, reliable cannabis, comparing their products to food that doesn’t contain sketchy ingredients or GMOs.
Earning a Clean Green Certification does not come easily. It requires a legal compliance review, another review that covers the process of how the product is actually grown, and an agricultural crop inspection. These inspections cover everything from seeds, clones, soil, nutrients, pesticides, dust and mold control, use of electricity, harvesting and processing. All growers and handlers are required to implement a carbon footprint reduction program that must be modified and improved each year. Customers who shop at L’Eagle Services can count on the products they purchase to be clean and consciously produced; no hidden ingredients, no toxic or synthetic pesticides—just pure, natural products. All the edibles and concentrates available in their store are made with L’Eagle’s cannabis. They want to ensure each and every product embodies the same organically-cultivated standard as their garden.
