Silver Stem – Denver, CO
Located on the east side of Denver on Colfax Avenue is Silver Stem, a fine cannabis retail shop with five Colorado locations, including Denver, Littleton, Nederland and Winter Park. Silver Stem’s East Denver location is quaint, clean and conveniently designed to help customer traffic flow through quickly. There’s an ample amount of parking space and it’s easily accessible from Colorado Blvd or Quebec and I-70. This is an ideal dispensary for students of Johnson & Wales University, which is right down the street.
Every employee we met, from the security guard who checked us in to the budtenders and store manager, were genuinely kind and treated us with ample hospitality. I particularly admired their patience towards a few lingering customers — it showed me a level of customer service I wouldn’t have the tolerance for. Silver Stem loves rewarding their loyal customers by offering daily specials and points, such as a $0.01/ounce of flower after your twentieth visit (much better than a free coffee, in my opinion) and “buy three, get one for a penny” shatter deals on Saturdays!
Flower is always the first thing I look for upon entering a dispensary; it’s that first impression which helps me decide if a place is worth giving my money to. The nugs at Silver Stem are not only pungent and beautiful, but soil-grown and cultivated by a fourth-generation family gardener. A handful of their more popular strains include Snowcap, Dutch Treat Haze, Cotton Candy Kush and Kosher OG; extract companies such as Olio and Nomad process their flower for concentrates. Other than nice nugs, a solid concentrate selection is always next on my checklist of dispensary staples, and Silver Stem passes both criteria with flying colors!
