Territory Dispensary – Chandler, AZ
I felt right at home stepping into the first official dispensary in Chandler, aptly named Territory Dispensary, which features an expansive, 18,000-square-foot open floor plan, conveniently located off I-10 and Loop 202. The topography-themed design plays perfectly into the floor plan, which is illuminated by a wall of natural light, accented by nostalgic light fixtures, concrete floors and subtle Arizona nuances, exuding a natural vibe. It reminded me of dispensaries I’ve seen in Oregon, Washington and Colorado—elevated, not pretentious, and delivering a clear message of wellness.
“True, steadfast and always there—those are our core values, and we want to live by that,” proclaims co-founder James Christianson. “We want to hold true to our word, true to our patients…provide clean meds and always be available to our patients in any way that we can be.” In addition to working with several non-profit and charitable organizations, Christianson is a member of the board of directors with the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, which is dedicated to supporting small local businesses. With his finger on the city’s pulse, he instills community values in his team and encourages them “to get out there, be active and live healthy . . . It’s been a full-circle journey bringing this vision to life,” he notes, and “we want people to join the journey.”
Eager to get my journey started, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this was the home of Hi-Klas, a premium cannabis line, and that they featured all my favorite Hi-Klas products: five-pack premium pre-rolls, tasty terp sauce and their coveted THC Diamonds. They also offer brands like Venom, Canamo, Vapen, Vital, Baked Bros and more. Territory’s tiered flower system ranged from The Peak (highs) to the Mountain Side (mids) to Base Camp (lows), showcasing between 16-24 strains, 12 of which come from their Hi-Klas cultivation, including Purple Larry, Rudy Boy OG and Sour Tangie. One thing’s for certain: Territory Dispensary sure feels like home.
