The Green Halo – Tucson, AZ
Tucked away in sun-soaked East Tucson is a de facto destination location for any connoisseur, The Green Halo. This cozy boutique dispensary began in 2013 and opened the first edible kitchen in the state. As I step into the well-lit, spacious waiting room, I can’t help but admire the ambiance of the eclectic space, adorned with elegant wooden floors and modern décor, accented by steel cabinetry filled with awards, brilliant LCD screens and a soothing fountain, all highlighted by tasteful chartreuse walls. “[The Green Halo] focuses on quality and consistency while remaining patient-driven,” notes Senior Marketing Manager, Victoria Poulos. “We wanted to create a comfortable experience in a friendly, educated environment [as well as] deliver value to our patients.”
After a quick and painless check-in, I am whisked away to their mouthwatering showroom. Mesmerized by the layout of their product selection, I make my way into the quaint interior and am greeted by my budtender. He tours me through the space, showing me their wide selection of glass accessories, tinctures and topicals before directing me to their collection of flower options, which features 30 strains — most from their own cultivation facility based in Phoenix, Nectar Farms.
My options include unique strains like Chronic Thunder, Peanut Butter Punch and the classic Agent Orange. Next, he directs me to their concentrate line with options from their solvent lab featuring Lemon Cake Batter, Garlicane Shatter and Rick Simpson Oil. Finally, we make our way to their impressive edible offerings, most of which are made by hand in their on-site industrial cannabis kitchen. The selections range from vanilla caramels to colorful gummies, fresh-pressed organic juices, spicy hot sauce, delectable lemon blondies, uplifting cold brew blends, decadent brownies and so much more.
I couldn’t be more thrilled with my experience as I pack up my bag of treats for the takeaway, already anticipating my next visit, eager to try their new medicated chocolate bars, broad-spectrum CBD gummies and sample size pain re-leaf ointments. And now that they’re rolling out online and express options, ordering is going to be easier than ever. Of course, their products can also be found in more than 70 dispensaries valley-wide, so I feel better knowing I’m never far from a little Green Halo.
