The Hidden Joint – Spokane, WA
The Hidden Joint may be one of the only dispensaries in the Spokane area that fully succeeds at pulling off a nice, chill vibe. The interior offers shoppers a satisfying selection of adult-use cannabis products at some of the lowest prices in town. But the shop just north of the Hillyard neighborhood also boasts a pleasant yard and patio area with a lush lawn and comfortable outdoor seating. It’s shady in a good way, with a couple of huge trees offering a reprieve from the summer heat and privacy. It’s located right on the edge of Spokane’s city limits near busy roads yet maintains a relaxing vibe.
Manager Wayne Guthrie said everyone works hard to make The Hidden Joint a special destination, including taking effort to not only carry quality items but brands that are not found at every other shop in town. The owners like to visit each producer/processor to handpick the strains and seek out the most appealing flower, concentrates and edibles. The shop is also the exclusive provider in the area for several strains including Dragon by LUV8 which consistently tests between 23 to 32 percent THC. Guthrie says they strive to make the shop appealing to every customer’s wallet by offering prices that are at least $5 to $10 cheaper than competitors.
The shop has been around since 2016 and Guthrie said it has the feel of a neighborhood barbershop, where everyone knows each other, and locals and visitors alike are welcome to drop by anytime. Guthrie is always happy to answer questions. “We go the distance to educate our employees to make sure they’re giving out correct info and helping customers find what they’re looking for.” The shop also includes additional info on every package which can answer basic questions about ingredients and effects, Then, if they have additional questions, they can approach a budtender. This way, customers are encouraged to take their time browsing.
