Tiger Rose by Dellene Peralta
With a deep appreciation for Jerry Garcia and for the Grateful Dead, OG glass artist Dellene Peralta decided in 2018 that she would create his guitar “Tiger Rose” completely out of glass. Not only did she do it, but also she made it functional as a rig. The piece stands about 10 inches tall and has a 14mm joint. Peralta used a wood grain tech for the body of the guitar and incorporated a collab milli by Ryan McCluer.
Peralta first started to blow glass in 1996 and has since become an inspiration for many up and coming glass blowers while remembering to remain humble and student of the art herself. She would like to see herself furthering her skills as an artist and working together with other glass artists on collaborative projects. In her own words, Dellene is “Forever grateful for glass, her life with it and to share beautiful pieces with people all over the world.”
“Tiger Rose” is a one-of-a-kind piece and not a part of any series. Currently, it is not for sale, but you can find other pieces from Peralta by going to her Instagram page, where she regularly posts her recent work.
