Bohemian Brothers – Nevada
Urban Hills, the flagship grow location of the Bohemian Brothers brand, is a 22,500-square-foot facility currently housing around 6,000 square feet of active canopy. With 20 strains in the vault, they run around a dozen perfectly maintained varietals at any given time. Based in Sparks, Nevada, the garden has been active since early 2018. A passionate full-time staff maintains their hand-trimmed harvests, one-month curing process and all the upkeep of one of the hottest new cultivations in the state.
Bohemian Brothers’ cannabis crop is one of the best in the business. The philosophy behind their diverse and unique menagerie of strains, according to CEO and director of cultivation Dustin Pebbles, is “pushing cannabis flower to its limits. By exposing it to a perfectly extreme environment, we can really ‘turn it up’ to maximize the plant’s full potential.” With a wide range of THC levels and terpenes across their flower strains, Urban Hills is truly an artisanal garden. Stemming from a relationship with award-winning cultivator Kyle Kushman, this garden’s flagship strain is Starberry, a sativa hybrid. Other varieties range from Chunkberry to Pink Starburst to Hindu Kush, each with its own artistic and masterful terpene profile, including ocimene, terpinolene and pinene. My personal favorite was the diesel-tinged, tropically tangy and overwhelmingly potent Orange 43.
Bohemian Brothers is a fun, family environment. The name embodies the notion of this unified group of artistic individuals coming together for a purpose: creating effective and powerful weed! For Dustin Pebbles and vice president and COO Crystal Pebbles, it was about “creating a brand that people feel they can be a part of. Big enough to succeed, small enough to be boutique, Bohemian Brothers is a brand that caters to both the original cannabis culture and new.”
