Verts: Green Healing in Fort Collins

The People: Personal Growth and Creative Expression Above All Else

Upon arriving at Vert’s, a neighborhood dispensary in the heart of Fort Collins, I was instantly impressed by the amount of genuine hospitality. The manager, assistant manager and HR representative greeted us with a level of excitement I won’t soon forget, and made it emphatically clear how much they value the knowledge and passion coming from each and every Vert’s employee. They make a point to try and memorize the name of every customer who walks through the door. Unparalleled customer service and personal attention to medicinal detail are what makes this dispensary one of the most intimate and popular cannabis boutiques in the Fort Collins community.

The Place: Perfect Location for Locals and Tourists Alike

Easy to find and easy to park, what the shop lacks in size it makes up for in convenience. We were told that Vert’s plans on expanding in the near future, enabling them to serve a larger clientele, and will hopefully start growing their own herb in-house. The first thing we noticed in the shop were the psychedelic pieces of art lining the entrance walls, followed by some crystals, a modest waiting area and a rather eye-catching menu board behind the counter. Turns out that everything in the shop—from the art to the menu boards, t-shirts and even the receptionist’s wooden counter—were all designed and handmade by the multitalented employees of Verts.

The Product: Amazing Selection with Options for Every Occasion

Whether it’s flower, concentrates or edibles you’re looking for, you’ll find what you need at Verts. I’m always happy to see brands that I love, such as Craft 710 and Igadi, on the shelves. Verts is fully committed to the well-being of their customers, and carries some specialty CBD products for patients looking for something a bit more medicinal, all at extremely reasonable prices. Some of the edibles that caught my eye included an infused Puppy Chow mix (one of my all-time favorite snacks), a premenstrual support edible and even a supplement created to aid hangovers.

Melissa Joy

Melissa was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, where she couldn’t stay out of trouble for smoking weed--especially during college. Immediately after graduating with a business degree from Elmhurst College in 2012, Melissa made her way to the safe smoking haven of Colorado, where her love for live music and music blogging eventually led her to a part-time writing position with DOPE Magazine. Melissa enjoys medicating with indica-dominant hybrids, and will never say no to a big solventless glob. When she isn’t busy writing, Melissa loves spending her time in the mountains with friends, practicing her violin, and exploring the never-ending amounts of dank breweries and restaurants in Denver.
